Nail Stamping

I got my nail stamping kit today! It is not Konad brand, but I don't care. I really just wanted the scraper and stamper, so I could begin a collection of plates. Which, my mom has decided to buy me for Christmas!

Overall, these plates turned out better than I expected. The nail polish that comes with them are not the best, so I decided to use my own. I found that China Glaze works the best, because it is thicker. OPI works, but makes for a more faded design. I will be investing in some cheaper Wal-Mart brands, because I have heard that these work better for stamping purposes. I actually have a few laying around, now that I think of it. I will try them later.

My sister, my friend and I sat and used the plates all afternoon. I did a lot of experimenting. Here is what I did on my hand:
This is China Glaze "For Audrey", with the white polish that came with the kit. (Very faded)

This is China Glaze "Sexy in the City". This was just me testing the stamp to see how to use it.

This is OPI "Alpine Snow". I love how this looks! Definitely turned out way better than the kit's white.

This is OPI "Mod About You", dotted with "Alpine Snow". The cupcake is OPI "Suzi Loves Cowboys".

This is China Glaze "Sun Worshipper", the diamond is OPI "Black Onyx".

I had a lot of fun with these all day long. This is what I did on my sister:

And this is what I decided to do on myself.
This is the kind of mess you are getting into! Make sure you have lots of napkins, nail polish remover, and a large working space.
